A-Team Classic 80s Tv
80’s TV shows are synonymous with hotrod cars and crazy hairstyles. Take the A Team for instance; Mr. T’s Mohawk was considered “Rad” or radical by the youth of the eighties.
This hairstyle inspired many of the “punk-rock” hairstyles of that generation. 80’S TV shows inspired a generation of “pop-culture”. That continued to move into the 90’s and eventually led to today’s pop culture. The sixties came back in the nineties and now the 80’s are making a comeback.

David Hasselhoff In Knight Rider
How so? Look at the style of sunglasses that appears in most 80’s TV shows. Now compare them to the ones we sport today. Remember that song by Cory Hart, “Sunglasses at Night”. A classic 80’s hit that is still inspiring fashion, or lack thereof, today. Then there are the “hotrod” cars such as the one driven by Michael Knight, also known as David Hasselhoff, which inspired many car enthusiasts, to build the types of vehicles that have On Star and key-less engine starts that are available today. The imaginative production of these 80’s TV shows help to inspire technology through its far fetched (for the times) cars, super computers, communication devices, and so much more.
Another 80’s TV show that made a comeback recently was Dukes of Hazard. It was highly popular in the 80’s and has since been turned into a box office hit with the help of stars such as Willie Nelson and of course Daisy (Jessica Simpson) in her “daisy dukes”. Even pop songs have been inspired due to those 80’s “daisy dukes”. Katy Perry sings about them in her latest single, “California Gurls”. To think that one 80’s hit show could implement so many things to come was unfathomable to say the least.
80’s talk show, The Phil Donahue show, kicked off an exploding list of talk shows like, Oprah, Jenny Jones, and yes even Jerry Springer. This is just another prime example of how 80’s TV shows shaped our viewing pleasures today.
When looking back at 80’s TV shows we see just how far we have come, take for instance the 80’s TV dating show “Perfect Match” shows such as this sparked shows like The Bachelor, Third Wheel, and many more that are being viewed today.

80s Tv Tough Guy MacGyver
MacGyver was another infamous 80’s TV show that took the viewer on an adventure while implying that a paperclip, rubber band and simple easy to find items could be used to get out of any situation. The secret agent in this 80’s TV show took resourcefulness to a whole new level.
Experiencing 80’s TV now would seem like something from the dark ages. In retrospect if not for the above listed shows, where would our viewing pleasures be today? The 80’s shows were a platform for advancements in the entertainment industry, and rightfully so.
Unknowingly, 80’s shows propelled TV into a new era, started several pop culture movements, and in the end they inspired writers imaginations, and directors to go in a direction not yet seen. All in all the 80’s was a benchmark in TV viewing history.
